FAQs
A question you need an answer to?
What home care services do Be Caring provide?
We provide a full range of home care services including personal care, companionship, domestic support, specialist care (e.g. dementia, palliative, learning disabilities), and hospital discharge. All care is co-designed around your needs.
What makes Be Caring different from other home care providers?
We’re the UK’s largest employee-owned social care provider. That means no shareholders – just people who care, reinvesting profits into better pay, training, and time to care. We also pay travel time and offer continuity wherever possible.
How quickly can care be arranged?
Depending on your location and care needs, we can typically arrange support within a few days. For urgent referrals (e.g. hospital discharge), we act quickly to provide a safe and supported transition home.
Do you support people with dementia or complex needs?
Yes. Our colleagues receive specialist training in dementia, mental health, learning disabilities and end-of-life care. We create personalised, flexible plans to support people safely and compassionately in their own homes.
Will I have the same Care Worker each time?
We prioritise continuity of care. Wherever possible, we match you with a consistent team who understand your needs, routine and preferences.
Do you support private clients and self-funders?
Yes. You can access our services directly without a local authority referral. We’ll work with you to build a personalised care plan that fits your goals and budget.
How much does home care cost?
Costs vary depending on the amount of time needed. We offer flexible packages and are always transparent about pricing.
Where do you operate?
We deliver over 20,000 hours of care each week across the North of England, including Leeds, Bradford, Sheffield, Manchester, Liverpool, Newcastle and North Tyneside.

Are your Care Workers fully trained?
Yes. All colleagues receive a fully paid two-week induction, plus ongoing training and access to accredited qualifications. We also conduct DBS checks and safeguarding training as part of our safe recruitment process.
How do I apply for a job at Be Caring?
We’re always looking for people who care. No experience? No problem. We provide full training, a clear career path and real rewards for your commitment.
