Henry Tonks

Operations Manager

“All my life I’ve worked in hospitality up until July 2020 when I went to work within the mental health sector. After 3 years I then joined the social care sector, my hospitality management experience has really helped. I’m all about growing teams whilst fostering a supportive culture. I didn’t have much experience in care but I do I find my hospitality experience similar, a large team in client facing role.”

What are your goals as Operations Manager?

As an Operations Manager I make sure to maintain fairness amongst the team, be understanding and compassionate. Listen to people, and action what they have to say, one of our values is to ‘Be Involved’ after all!

I make it my priority to ensure the team have a good work life balance and that people to take holiday, their roles can be challenging at times and it’s important to relax.

I’m excited to grow and develop my teams further so they can each ‘Be the Best They Can Be’. They’re a great team who work incredibly hard so we have to make sure to also have a laugh. One thing I’ve found with the Manchester team is they love their food – bribery can come in handy sometimes!

What is it like working for Be Caring?

I’m fairly new to the role, but I’m excited for the future and feel aligned with the organisations vision, mission and values. And I love my team! Every day is different and there’s always lots to do, I get restless easily so love the environment.
