Our 6th Homecare Service: Be Caring Expands to Bradford!

Be Caring are pleased to announce the expansion of our homecare services to the vibrant city of Bradford.

We are excited to share some remarkable news that echoes our commitment to enhancing the lives of both our dedicated colleagues and the communities we serve. Be Caring is expanding its service delivery to Bradford, providing care for people in the areas of Toller, City, Bowling and Barkerend. With a focus on quality care, improved conditions for Care Workers, and a proven model of homecare, this expansion marks a significant step towards our mission of shaping the future of social care.

Enhancing Terms and Conditions for Care Workers

Our values are the driving force behind this expansion, following on from our recent success of paying all our homecare colleagues on shift, we are excited to continue our commitment to enhancing terms and conditions for Care Workers in Bradford. At the core of our expansion lies a deep-rooted commitment to our Care Workers. By creating an environment that fosters job satisfaction, growth, and well-being, we empower our colleagues to deliver quality care.

We are recruiting and employing Care workers in Bradford on the same shift basis, meaning all our Care Workers will be paid from the start of their first care call to the end of their last care call. This approach to pay means Care Workers can utilise their time fully to support people, providing care and support beyond the tasks in their care plan, finding meaningful ways to look after people’s wellbeing, for example, reducing their social isolation or helping them make contact and engage with local community groups.

Our Proven Model of Homecare

Bradford City Council have been forward-thinking in the development of the homecare contract, with greater emphasis on individual outcomes and paying providers in such a way that will allow providers to move away from traditional task and time. This in turn will allow us to deliver more bespoke personalised care and support, and support people to connect to groups in their local area.

Homecare is not simply about the checklist of tasks that need to be completed. Consistency is so important to people, and we are committed to helping retain the right people in our workforce, ensuring they feel valued, and visits can be flexible enough, so they have time to listen to people about what they want and need. This approach allows individuals to continue to live independently and in the comfort and safety of their own homes.

The Bradford service is our sixth homecare branch to open and is set to create 100 new jobs for Be Caring, as an employee-owned organisation these new Care Workers will be eligible for our £300* welcome bonus.
